Lani Vincent - Lani is a Local Laws Officer for the Townsville City Council. Lani is raising money for The Townsville Hospital FoundationThe Paediatric Allied Health Team will be the department benefiting from this fundraising to purchase The Regency Care Chair which will be an instrumental piece of equipment used in the paediatric rehabilitation area. Often children with brain injuries are physically unable to sit in a wheelchair. The regency chair will give staff the ability to move these children around the ward effortlessly. It will also allow for smooth transition from bed to the regency chair due to its fully reclinable tilting seat. Even the simple act of a family taking their sick child outdoors for some fresh air and sunshine will be made possible with this chair.

Michael Hogue - Lighthouse Financial Advisers Townsville
Michael is raising funds for the James Ackerman Family Trust Fund. James tragically died after a head knock in a Qld cup Rugby League match whilst playing for the Sunshine Coast Falcons on June 20. He leaves behind a wife and two young children. His organ donations have already saved the lives of two sick people plus an additional 18 people will benefit from tissue donations. My goal is to raise money for James’ wife and children.

Ashley is raising funds for The Sky Foundation, which was created to help raise money for the Townsville Women's Centre, and highlight the high level of domestic violence in the region

Monies raised will fund an academic (based in Townsville) to conduct research in this area. In addition, the fellowship will raise awareness of the issue in the North Qld region and engage with the NRL’s newly formed committee looking into how the game monitors and handles mental health issues of its players.

Raising funds for Here4life Townsville is facing a real epidemic and this epidemic is Suicide. The Australian Bureau of Statistics in 2013 reported suicide had increased by over 100% in Townsville alone. Most people have been affected by suicide either directly or indirectly.
HERE4LIFE is a FREE Community Concert that will bring some of Australia's premier performing artists to the stage to share the message of suicide prevention. Stan Walker, Dami Im, Rochelle Pitt and King Social are some of the artists who will be performing at this FREE Community Concert.
HERE4LIFE will also bring a range of key service delivery agencies together at the FREE Community Concert to engage with the Townsville Community. Agencies such at the Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service (TAIHS) our major sponsor, Mental Illness Fellowship NQ, Queensland Youth Services, The Salvation Army and many others.

Goodna Youth Service provides shared supported, medium to long term accommodation for homeless or at risk young people aged 15 - 25 years. The service offers a range of help to its young people and their families including appropriate referrals, advocacy, budgeting, living skills, support plan and health needs. GYS also provides emergency relief to the Goodna community and drug and alcohol services and support. They also have a Drug and Alcohol Outreach Program.
In particular needing funding to implement programs to reduce the high rate of youth suicide in Goodna.
